3 IGGS Students Bags Success In Chess Competition
Chandrapur: Three students from Indira Gandhi Garden School run by The Education and Cultural Society have proved their provess in school level Chess competition. Winners in under 14 years category Sarth Bhujade (Std VI), Sangram Chavan (Std VI) and Gaurika Bele (Std IV) have also been selected for divisional level Chess Competition.
Sports and Youth Services Directorate, Pune, District Sports Office, District Sports Council and Chandrapur Municipal Corporation had jointly organised the chess competition for the school under the jurisdiction of Chandrapur Municipal Corporation. Over 200 students from more than 25 schools from across the city took part in the competition held at the district sports complex.
All three winners played six rounds of matches to emerge victorious in the competition. Sports teachers of school Vishal Chavan and Reshma Pathan guided them in the preparation for the competition. Victorious students were facilitated in the school by Principal Bawani Jaykumar. Vice President of the school’s governing body Rahul Puglia, office bearers and members of the governing body, school’s administrator Jaykumar Sir, all the teachers and non-teaching staff have congratulated the victorious students.
