Chandrapur: Two students of Indira Gandhi Garden School (IGGS) run by The Education and Cultural Society bagged separate prizes in school level competition organised by the Chandrapur Municipal Corporation (CMC).
Municipal Corporation had organised various competitions for school children under Swatch Bharat Abhiyan. Std 8th student Nirmiti Lulu bagged second prize in Drawing/Poster competition. Similarly, Mikail Ali also from the class secured third prize in ‘Best out of Waste’ competition.
CMC held the prizes distribution programme at municipal parking ground in the auspicious presence of guardian minister Sudhir Mungantiwar and MLA Kishor Jorgewar. Nirimti received the cash prize of Rs 3000 at the hands of MLA Jorgewar. Guardian minister Sudhir Mungantiwar handed over the cash prize of Rs 2000 to Mikail during the programme. Municipal commissioner Vipin Paliwal, former corporator Shubhash Kasangottuwar, Dr Gopal Mundhada, Dr Mangesh Gulwade were present on the occasion.
Both the students were trained and guided by art and craft teacher Chandrashekhar Ghutke. The winners were felicitated at the school by the Principal Bawani Jaykumar. The vice president of the school management committee Rahul Puglia, office bearers and members of the committee, school administrator Jaykumar sir, all the teachers and staff have congratulated both the students.
