5 IGGS Badminton Players Selected At Divisional Level
Chandrapur: Adding yet another feather to the cap, five badminton players of Indira Gandhi Garden School secured their place in division level competitions.
Both under-14 boys and girls teams and girls team of under-17 years age group of the school also won the runner-up trophies at district level badminton competitions held under the joint aegis Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Pune, District Sports Office, District Sports Council and Chandrapur Municipal Corporation organized at district sports complex here.
The students selected for divisional competition include under-14 players Labh Tarse, Shaurya Nagargoje and Sharwari Dani of Std VIII and under -17 age group players Nirmiti Badkhal and Shrawani Kalaskar from Std IX. They were selected on the basis of their excellent performance during the district level interschool badminton championship.
Sports teachers of the school Vishal Chavan and Reshma Pathan trained and guided the badminton teams for the competition. The runner-up teams and players selected for division level competitions were feted at the hands of the Principal of the school Bavani Jaykumar.The vice president of the school management committee Rahul Puglia, office bearers and members of the committee, school administrator Jaykumar sir, all the teachers and staff have congratulated the students for their achievements.
