- 2 IGGS Students Selected for Divisional Level Competitions
Chandrapur: 2 students of Indira Gandhi Garden School (IGGS) run by Education and Cultural Society have been selected in school level district teams for divisional level competitions. Std VIII student Ankit Yadav has been selected in the district volleyball team, while Std VII student Sharleen Urade has been selected in the swimming team that will represent Chandrapur in divisional level competitions to be held in Nagpur.
Ankit Yadav was selected in district team based on his performance in interschool school competition and the trials conducted by district sports office. Similarly, Shalreen Urade won 50 meter free style swimming competition at district level organised under the joint aegis
Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Pune, District Sports Officer Office, District Sports Council and Chandrapur Municipal Corporation organized at district sports complex here. Based on her performance in the competition, she was included in the district swimming team for divisional competition.
Both the students were guided and trained by sports teachers of the school Vishal Chavan and Reshma Pathan for the competition.The winning students were felicitated at the school by the Principal Bawani Jaykumar. The vice president of the school management committee Rahul Puglia, office bearers and members of the committee, school administrator Jaykumar sir, all the teachers and staff have congratulated both the students.
